Guest Policies

Booking your stay

We offer the convenience of online booking or you can call or email any time — we'd love to answer any questions you have about our property and help you plan your stay.

When using the online system, you can check as many rates, dates and accomodation combinations as you like — nothing is "booked" until you submit your credit card information and hit confirm, so plan away. You can even set up your own password-protected account so you can access your itinerary any time.

Loyal Customers

* We give our year to year loyal guests the first opportunity to re-book their stay for the following year. Simply book your stay before you leave and your spot will be reserved for the following year. If you do not book for the following year before you leave, those dates will become available for new customers.*

Check in/Check out

Summer Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday.

Check in is from 4-7pm

Check out is 9am or earlier.

If you will be arriving later than 7pm please notify us.

Call for off season check in/out times.

Extra Guests

A $25 fee per guest per night will be applied towards your stay for exceeding the rated occupancy of your room or cabin. See cabin/room descriptions. * If you have daily visitor's,  they count as occupants and the extra guests fee will be automatically applied to your stay. Visitors who stay all day are here using the property and it's grounds and will be the responsibility of the party in which they are visiting. 

Visitors/Day Passes

Visitors may be subject to a day pass fee up to our discretion. Visitor hours are from 8 a.m.-8 p.m only. For the comfort of our registered guests, we reserve the right to limit the number of visitors to stay within capacity. Visitors may not bring pets.


Pets are not allowed at Viking Bay Resort & Lodge. However if you wish to board your pet near by please contact Pawsitively Purr-fect Pet Boarding. If you treat your pet as though they were part of your family, this is Pawsitively the Purr-fect place for them to be.


One night stays- One night stays must be paid in full at time of booking.

Bookings for the following year- Notices will be sent to our guests in regards to two payments. 30% of your stay will be due by November 1st and then another 30% by February 1st.

*All other bookings taking place during the year will be required to have a 50% deposit down at the time of booking.*


Cancellation Policy

By confirming your reservation you are then financially responsible for the entire duration of your reservation. Please understand that once we have booked a reservation, especially for a large group and then receive a cancellation it is very difficult to re-book that reservation. By booking a reservation you are then making those dates unavailable on our online booking engine. In the event of a cancellation for any reason our ability to return your deposit is solely based on our ability to re-rent your unit or units for the entire duration of your reservation less a $100 rebooking fee.  If we are unable to re-rent your reservation you will then be held financially responsible for the balance of your stay.


Short Stays

We require short stays in our lodge, cabins, and vacation homes to begin or end on a Saturday starting the second week in June through the second week in August.
